The canton of Pougues-les-Eaux was a French canton in the arrondissement Nevers in the Nièvre department and in the Burgundy region until 2015 ; its main town was Pougues-les-Eaux . Colette Mongiat was the representative in the General Council of the department from 2001 to 2015.
The canton was 83.94 km² and had 12,544 inhabitants (as of 2006). It was on average 212 meters above sea level , between 157 m ( Germigny-sur-Loire ) and 341 m ( Parigny-les-Vaux ).
