Bona is a French municipality with 313 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Nevers and the Canton of Guérigny (until 2015: Canton Saint-Saulge ).

Bona is about 62 kilometers south of Auxerre and about 22 kilometers east-northeast of Nevers . Bona is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Benin-des-Bois in the north, Sainte-Marie in the north and northeast, Jailly in the northeast, Saxi-Bourdon in the east, Billy-Chevannes in the south and southeast, Saint-Firmin in the southwest and Saint- Sulpice in the west.
