Coulanges-lès-Nevers is located directly on the urban area of Nevers , about 2.5 kilometers northeast of the city center. The A77 autoroute runs through the municipality (junction 34 - Géringny, Nevers Saint Éloi, Coulanges-lès-Nevers). The Nièvre flows to the east of the municipality .
