Cossaye is about 25 kilometers northeast of Moulins . Cossaye is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Decize in the north, Devay and Charrin in the northeast, Lamenay-sur-Loire in the east, Gannay-sur-Loire in the southeast, Lucenay-lès-Aix in the south, Toury-Lurcy in the west and Saint-Germain- Chassenay in the northwest.
