Thianges is a municipality with 171 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in central France in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). Thianges belongs to the Arrondissement of Nevers and the Canton of Imphy ( La Machine until 2015 ).

Thianges is about 25 kilometers east-southeast of Nevers . Thianges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ville-Langy in the north, Diennes-Aubigny in the east, Champvert in the south and south-east, La Machine in the south, Trois-Vèvres in the west and Beaumont-Sardolles in the north-west.
