Angela Kokkola

Angela Kokkola ( Greek Αγγέλα Κοκκόλα ; * July 13, 1932 in Larisa ; † December 16, 2017 ) was a Greek politician ( PASOK ).

Life

Angela Kokkola, daughter of a Greek army general, studied at Pierce College and worked for the UN and International Social Service as well as the Greek Parliament .

In 1964 she became personal secretary of Andreas Papandreou and during his tenure as Prime Minister of Greece from 1981 to 1989 director of the Prime Minister's office and head of the secretariat.

From 1994 to 1999 Kokkola was a member of the European Parliament and a member of the European Social Democratic Party for the Panellinio Sosialistiko Kinima (PASOK) .
