The Alène is a river in France that runs in the Nièvre department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises in the extreme south of the Morvan Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of Poil , initially drains in a southern direction, then turns generally to the northwest and after 56 kilometers flows into Cercy-la-Tour as a left tributary into the Aron , as well as the parallel Canal du Nivernais .
