Clerval is a village and a former French commune with the last 1,017 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2014) in the Doubs department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Clerval and Santoche were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Pays de Clerval . The former municipalities were not granted the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Clerval.
