The Route nationale 60 , or N 60 or RN 60 for short , was a French national road that ran from Châteauneuf-sur-Loire to Toul from 1824 to 1973 . The total length was 310 kilometers.

history

The route of the national road was based on route 79 impériale .

In 1973 the section from Pont-Sainte-Marie to Toul was downgraded. In addition, the section of national road 152 from Orléans to Châteauneuf-sur-Loire was integrated into the course of the N 60. She also took over the part of the N5, which interrupted her:

  • N 152 Orléans - Châteauneuf-sur-Loire
  • N 60 Châteauneuf-sur-Loire - Sens
  • N 5 Sens - Le Petit-Villiers
  • N 60 Le Petit-Villiers - Troyes

In 1978 the N77 took over the section of the N60 between Troyes and Pont-Sainte-Marie, which interrupted it. Between Châteauneuf-sur-Loire and Orléans, the N60 was gradually placed on a newly constructed expressway that runs northwards. In 2006, the downgrade took place in full.

The bypass road laid out north around Courtenay as the N 60 is now part of Autobahn 19 .
