The Route nationale 404 , or N 404 or RN 404 for short , was a French national road .

history

The road ran from 1933 to 1973 from a junction with National Road 3 in Manheulles to Gripport . At Thuilley-aux-Groseilles , the road was relocated from its originally straight route to an easterly curve because of the Nancy-Ochey military airfield . From 1983 to 2006 the number was used again for the Eastern Bypass of Saverne . This short stretch of road is now marked as Départementsstraße 1404 .
