The N477 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between the N74 at Montchanin and Saint-Germain-du-Bois. Their total length was 64 kilometers. In 1978 the route between Oslon and Thurey became part of the new N78 route. Furthermore, a new road, partly designed as an expressway, was built between Montchanin and Chalon-sur-Saône, north of the N477, as national road 80. This is part of the northeast branch of the RCEA .
