The Route nationale 442 , or N 442 or RN 442 for short , was a French national road that ran from 1933 to 1973 from Nogent-sur-Seine to a confluence with the N19 about 1.5 kilometers west of Saint-Lyé. It represents a more southerly alternative to the N19. After the graduation in 1973, the number for a bypass road in Saint-Quentin was assigned in the 1980s. This was downgraded in 2006 and is part of D1029.
