The Route nationale 407 , or N 407 or RN 407 for short , was a French national road .

The road ran between Saint-Mihiel and Marbache from 1933 to 1973 . It consisted of two sections connected by National Road 58 . A department border is crossed on the section shared with the N 58. After it was downgraded, the number for national road 307 A was used until 1982. It was downgraded to Départementsstraße 407 . In 1986 the number reappeared as a connection between National Road 7 and Autobahn 7 in Vienne. This two-kilometer road has been numbered D 1407 since 2006.
