The Route nationale 422 , or N 422 or RN 422 for short , was a French national road .

history

In the years 1933 to 1973, the road ran from a street intersection with the former national road 4 near Marlenheim in two sections to Mulhouse . In 1973 it took over the section from Goxwiller to Entzheim from the course of the national road 425 . In addition, the stretch of the national road 422 ^A to Rixheim was taken over. The two old sections were downgraded to Départementsstraße 422 in both departments . In 1986 the N 422 was shortened by opening the Autobahn 35 between Innenheim and Goxwiller. In 1993 the section south of Sainte-Croix-en-Plaine of the A35 fell victim. In 2006 the N 422 was completely downgraded, except for the short connection of the parts of the A 35 between Entzheim and Innenheim.

The Route nationale 422 ^A , or N 422 ^A or RN 422 ^{A for} short , was a branch off the national road 422 in Baldersheim, which connected west of Mulhouse with the national road 66 in Rixheim. Their length was six kilometers. In 1973 it was integrated into the N 422.
