The Route nationale 423 , or N 423 or RN 423 for short , was a French national road .

This street number was added to the national road network in 1933. Until 1973 the road ran from an intersection with the national road N420 through the Vologne valley to Gérardmer . Their length was 24 kilometers.

N423a

The N423 A was a 2 km long branch of the national road N423. It branched off at the northern end of Bruyères and ran a few hundred meters east of the national road N423 to the national road N420. In 1973 it was downgraded to D423 A département road .
