Anna Unterberger (born September 23, 1985 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian actress .

Life

Unterberger came to the theater early on through her Danish mother, who played theater with disabled people. Unterberger made the decision to become an actress after receiving appropriate support in elementary school. After graduating from high school , she financed her early acting and singing training through odd jobs. From 2005 to 2009 she finally completed her training at the Vienna Conservatory . During this time, Unterberger gained his first theater experience at the Statens Teaterskole in Copenhagen , at the Kottingbrunn Summer Festival and in the Theater in the Drachengasse in Vienna . From 2008 Unterberger also worked in film productions and became a member of the ensemble at the Salzburg State Theater for the 2009/2010 season . Since her experiences on the island of Leros in 2015, she has been involved in the Sternenzeit association for the “Beds for Leros” project for refugees.

Unterberger lives in Berlin.

Stage roles

Anna Unterberger played her first stage roles in 2007 at the Summer Festival in Kottingbrunn as Helena in Der Pirat and as daughter in Friedrich Dürrenmatt's The Visit of the Old Lady . At the same time she worked at the Copenhagen Drama School in Aristophanes ' Lysistrata . At the Salzburg State Theater from 2009 Unterberger took on roles in Gotthold Ephraim Lessing's Nathan the Wise (as Recha), Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust (Der Herr), Der böse Geist Lumpazivagabundus by Johann Nestroy (Peppi) and The Measure of Things (Evelyn). by Neil LaBute .

Movie and TV

In 2008 Unterberger stood in front of the camera for the first time as Gretchen in Urs Odermatt's film adaptation of George Taboris Mein Kampf while she was still studying at the Vienna Conservatory . The following summer she acted as Britta in the film Jud Suss - Film Without Conscience . Another film engagement followed in 2010 in the Austrian production at the end of the day , which opened in theaters in August 2011. In 2012 Unterberger appeared in guest roles in the German television series Der Alte und Großstadtrevier and in October 2012 was seen in the film adaptation of Daniel Kehlmann's Die Vermessung der Welt in the role of Minna. Unterberger was also a juror at the Bolzano Film Festival in April 2012.

In Andreas Dresen's biopic Gundermann about the East German songwriter, rock musician and excavator operator Gerhard Gundermann , she played his wife, Conny Gundermann, and sang several new songs together with leading actor Alexander Scheer .
