Adam learns that he has been the object of a project study for Evelyn that is about manipulating a person. He argues with her and insults her. She says she had a positive influence on him and made him a more interesting person. Evelyn leaves Adam, who ends up watching old recordings of his ex-girlfriend.

Reviews

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews that the film was similar to the earlier film LaButes In the Company of Men and could appeal to the same audience. It is a winding love story about manipulation, about the loss of innocence and about the brutality of betrayal.

The lexicon of international films wrote: "A screwball comedy staged film adaptation of an uncompromisingly provocative play about gender struggles, manipulability and the fixation on external appearance."
