Frederick "Fred" Weller (born April 18, 1966 in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is an American actor .

Life

Weller is a cousin of the actor Peter Weller . After studying at the University of North Carolina , he took lessons at the renowned Juilliard Acting School and made a name for himself as a stage actor.

In 1993 he got a leading role in the US television series Missing Persons . He also had guest appearances in the series Law & Order , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Criminal Intent - Verbrechen im Visier , Monk and in The Young Indiana Jones - Chronicles . He has also appeared in several films, including Stonewall , The Business of Strangers , The Shape of Things , and the miniseries The Beach Boys: An American Family , in which he played the role of musician Brian Wilson . From 2008 to 2012, he played alongside Mary McCormack in the television series In Plain Sight - In the Line of the Inspector Marshall man .

Weller is married to actress Ali Marsh .
