Since 2012 , the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation has been producing a series of television films called Landkrimi , which is shot alternately in each of the nine federal states and in South Tyrol with different actors and different directors. The first broadcast on ORF1 took place on December 18, 2014, in Germany on January 22, 2016 on ARTE .

The criminal case takes a back seat in favor of rural peculiarities, language, customs and other typical characteristics and is often characterized by humor. The episodes are particularly influenced by the authenticity of the language.

Based on the TV film series Landkrimi, ORF has been producing the TV film series Stadtkomödie since 2016 .

As part of the 48th award of the Austrian Adult Education TV Prize , Andreas Prochaska , Stefan Hafner and Thomas Weingartner were honored in the TV film category for the country crime novel If you knew how beautiful it is here . When Deutsches Schauspielhaus Price 2017 were Michael Glantschnig for the Newcomer Award and Gerhard Liebmann nominated for best actor in a comedy role.

Höhenstraße was awarded the German Television Crime Prize 2017 and nominated for the Prix ​​Europa in the category "TV Fiction".
