Wolfgang Böck (born January 14, 1953 in Linz ) is an Austrian actor and theater director .

education

Wolfgang Böck was born in Linz in 1953 as the son of an industrial clerk and a kindergarten teacher . After compulsory school he attended the higher technical institute for mechanical engineering for four years , which he did not graduate. He was school and state school spokesman. He then received his acting training from 1973 to 1976 in Graz at the University of Music and Performing Arts . He completed this in 1976. According to his own statement, the trigger for his way to the theater was a visit to the Linz State Theater and the play Magic Afternoon by Wolfgang Bauer .

Professional background

He received his first theater engagement in Bregenz in Vorarlberg . He attracted attention in plays such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest ('Mc Murphy') and as 'Behringer' in The Rhinos . From 1980 to 1983 he played at the Landestheater in Linz a . a. in class enemy next to Wolf Bachofner and in Kasimir and Karoline .

In 1983 Wolfgang Böck played at the Vienna Volkstheater , later roles in Switzerland , at the Schauspielhaus Zürich , such as Mortimer Brewster in Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen and in the Renaissance Theater Berlin , such as 'Der Concentration Camp-Erhardt' in Poland is not lost yet . He became known throughout Austria primarily through his participation in the Kaisermühlen Blues . Here he was seen as the Viennese policeman Trautmann, the partner of the leading actress Gitti Schimek ( Marianne Mendt ). As this very Trautmann , Wolfgang Böck stood in front of the camera in the spring 2000 crime pilot film Trautmann - He who is tricky remains (directed by Harald SICHERITZ ). For his previous portrayal of Inspector Trautmann, Böck - together with the author of Kaisermühlen Blues and Trautmann Ernst Hinterberger - was named "Honorary kiberer " by the Association of Austrian Federal Criminal Police Officers in December 2001 .

In October 2003 he was appointed artistic director of the Castle Games in Kobersdorf in Burgenland . In 2009 Wolfgang Böck was with Gabriela Benesch in their joint cabaret program All You Need Is Love !? on tour, in 2010 he and Brigitte Neumeister performed the program Aus dem Reich der Burenwurst on the stage of the Ybbsiade - cabaret and cabaret festival in Ybbs on the Danube .

On the occasion of his 40th stage anniversary in 2014, the concert program boeck.privat@habtsmigern.ade was created under the musical direction of Andreas Radovan with texts by Klaus Lintschinger. Wolfgang Böck & Band will perform throughout Austria.

In the 19th season of the German TV series Um Himmels Willen (first broadcast in winter / spring 2020) he plays the auxiliary bishop Landkammer.

Castle Games Kobersdorf

Wolfgang Böck has been the artistic director of the Kobersdorf Castle Games since 2004. He put Johann Nestroy's Lumpazivagabundus on the theater bill for the debut . This was followed in 2005 by Liliom by Ferenc Molnár , in 2006 by Brecht's The Threepenny Opera , in 2007 by George Feydeau's Flea in the Ear , in 2008 by Johann Nestroy on the ground floor and first floor . The enthusiastic motorcyclist Böck has been a freelance actor since 1987 and lives with his wife, the Burgenland architect Sonja Kremsner, whom he married in 2002, partly in Vienna and partly in Burgenland. In 1990 his son was born. Böck has a soft spot for classic cars .

Wolfgang Böck is the speaker of the station announcements on the Vienna bus routes 92A and 92B, whose routes lead through Kaisermühlen .

In 2002 Wolfgang Böck made a guest appearance as Trautmann in the episode Die UFO-Oma in the Austrian children's series Tom Turbo. In this appearance, however, for child-friendly reasons, you never see him with his customary, self-rolled cigarette, but instead often with a Leberkässemmerl - another of Trautmann's vices - within the series.
