Jürgen Höhne

Jürgen Höhne (born May 7, 1936 ; died February 22, 2015 ) was a German amateur actor who played the leading role in three feature films by the director Wenzel Storch . Höhne was a trained toolmaker and worked as a truck driver until his retirement . He lived with his wife in Hanover .

Life

Höhne only made his screen debut after retiring in Wenzel Storch's The Shine of These Days (1989). Since then he has starred in two other films that together make up the so-called Jürgen Höhne trilogy . Since Storch's films are shot on a minimal budget, Höhne's work, like that of all other actors (mostly laypeople), was voluntary .
