Wolf Bachofner

Wolf Bachofner (born July 4, 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian theater and film actor .

Professional background

He received his speech training and role studies with a private teacher in Vienna. He then worked at the Landestheater Linz , in Vienna , Wald4tler Hoftheater, Klagenfurt and at the Schauspiel Frankfurt and from 1997 at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg . In Hamburg he was a. a. in Luk Perceval's spectacular staging of battles! after the Wars of the Roses by William Shakespeare .

Since 2001 he has been a permanent guest at the Schauspielhaus Hannover , where he played a. a. in Luk Perceval's production of Der Kirschgarten by Anton Chekhov , in Herbert Achternbusch's Pallas Athene , in Igor Bauersima's Danton's death and in Sebastian Nübling's production of Was ihr wollt .

Bachofner achieved international fame through his role as criminal inspector Peter Höllerer in the hit series Kommissar Rex , in which he starred in 59 episodes.

Since 2009 he has played in the crime series Schnell, the district inspector Franitschek.
