The broadcast slot was on Wednesday during prime time , each direction was directed by Michael Riebl . In December 2014, ORF announced that a second season of the series was planned.

The series The Detectives is about two men who couldn't be more different, an extremely correct accountant and a happy hippie child . The two are half-brothers who, however, only found out about each other after the death of their father and took over his detective agency. They solve many cases, but the episodes don't always start with a murder.

In the end, they solve the death of their father and the series ends openly.
