Lukas Resetarits (* 14. October 1947 as Erich Lukas Resetarits in Stinatz , Burgenland ) is an Austrian cabaret artist and actor .

life and work

Like the majority of the residents of Stinatz, Lukas Resetarits belongs to the Burgenland Croatian ethnic group . As he said in his cabaret program Unruhestand in 2012 , he lived as a schoolboy with his family (after the memory of his brother Willi Resetarits in Vienna from 1952) on Humboldtplatz in Favoriten , Vienna's 10th district, a typical working-class area at the time. He graduated from high school in 1965 and then studied psychology and philosophy at the University of Vienna .

In 1975 he joined the cabaret group "KEIF", consisting of Wolfgang Teuschl , Erwin Steinhauer , Alfred Rubatschek and Erich Demmer . In 1976 he worked as an actor in the Proletenpassion, a large-scale production by the political rock band Butterflies as part of the Wiener Festwochen . In 1977 he performed with Teuschl and Steinhauer at the Tu felix Austria television cabaret . The television cabaret followed in 1978 with an identical line-up. One may still ask . On October 26, 1977 his first solo program Rechts Mitte Links premiered in the Konzerthauskeller, followed in May 1978 by the second solo program A Crisis Must Her .

In the same year Resetarits played the main male role in the television film Mit Leib und Seele under the direction of Käthe Kratz . In 1979 he released his first long-playing record Ein Abend mit Lukas Resetarits . He wrote the book for the ORF report Weekend in Vienna for the television festival in Montreux , in which he also played the leading role. At the beginning of the 1980s he took over the lead role from Franz Buchrieser in the television series Kottan determined by Helmut Zenker and Peter Patzak . As the grumpy police major Adolf Kottan, he investigated episodes 6 to 19 of the satirical crime series.

In 2007 he wrote Amerika, a music program with original pieces by Randy Newman and his own interludes, accompanied by the women's quartet "StringFizz" and Robert Kastler. This homage to the poet and composer Newman took place once in Vienna and once in Graz. The two ORF productions from 2007, the film The Black Lion and the five-part series FC Rückpass , dealt with the regional soccer league. In 2010, Resetarits took over the investigation in Kottan: Rien ne va plus , the movie for the series, once again played the weird police role.

Lukas Resetarits has two daughters, Martina and Kathrin Resetarits . Kathrin has been developing programs with her father since 1999. Lukas is the brother of Willi Resetarits , formerly known as Kurt Ostbahn , and TV presenter Peter Resetarits . Lukas Resetarits is a member of the Society for Political Enlightenment .
