Police Commissioner Pilch asks Major Kottan, who has been suspended for 27 years, to return to active duty. The occasion is a series of murders in which the winners of a pyramid scheme are victims. You took part in a follow-up game called “Rien ne va plus”, in which only one participant is supposed to survive. Kottan reluctantly follows Pilch's wish. At the same time, a power struggle raged within the Viennese police between Pilch and Major General Hofbauer, who wanted to take Pilch out of his post.

The reviews were largely negative - the main criticism was that the film, with its nostalgia and self -centeredness, aimed too much at fans of the original series without transferring the series and characters into the present day and was also interesting for non-fans of the original to be.
