Katharina Strasser
Katharina Straßer (* 1984 in Rum in Tirol ; also: Kathie Straßer ) is an Austrian actress and television presenter .
Life
Straßer comes from a theater family and grew up in Innsbruck. There she attended grammar school and after graduating from high school, she moved to Vienna to study acting. Straßer completed her acting training at the Vienna Conservatory and has been employed at the Vienna Volkstheater since the 2006/07 season . She had other engagements at the Theater der Jugend , the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Wiener Lustspielhaus and the Volksoper Vienna .
Straßer had her big breakthrough in the 2006/07 season with the roles of Vicki in Der nackte Wahnsinn and Mizi Schlager in Liebelei , for which she received the Nestroy Prize in the category of best youngsters in 2007 . Her greatest success, which was honored with great popularity and enthusiasm, came in 2008/09 with the impersonation of Eliza in My Fair Lady at the Vienna Volksoper.
In 2016 , 2017 and 2018 she moderated the Romy Awards together with Andi Knoll . [obsolete] Since April 6, 2018, she has hosted the ORF comedy cooking show Meine Mama cooks better than yours .
Private
Katharina Straßer is married to Thomas Stipsits ; in 2014 they became parents of a son. Their daughter was born in September 2018.
Her grandparents Hubert Mann and Liselotte Schmidt were also actors.

In January 2008 she was to be seen together with Maximilian Schell on the cover of the Austrian fashion magazine "1st" and in March of the same year on the cover of the Austrian cultural magazine "Wien Live". She was also on the cover of the previous magazine and in 2009 on the cover of the German-language festival magazine.
Straßer was in a relationship with her colleague Till Firit for five years and has been in a relationship with Thomas Stipsits since mid-2012 . The two married in the early summer of 2014 and had a son a few weeks later.
