Stefanie Reinsperger
Stefanie Reinsperger (born January 30, 1988 in Baden near Vienna ) is an Austrian film and theater actress . She has been a member of the Berliner Ensemble since 2017 .
life and work
Reinsperger grew up partly in London , where her father worked for the Austrian Foreign Ministry . In June 2011 she completed her training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna with a diploma, before that she played Sunshine Doré in Harold and Maude at the Vienna Volkstheater and was then immediately committed to the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf . There she mainly took on leading roles in the Junge Schauspielhaus, such as Medea or Barbarina in Figaro von Beaumarchais , but also played Effie in Klaus and Erika or Eve in Heinrich von Kleist's comedy Der zerbrochne Krug in the main theater .
In 2014 she was engaged at the Burgtheater , where she was used in contemporary plays: in the two world premieres Die ridiculous Darkness by Wolfram Lotz and the unmarried by Ewald Palmetshofer as well as in the Austrian premiere of Elfriede Jelinek's Die Schutzbefohlenen . Both world premieres were invited to the 2015 Berliner Theatertreffen . Her first role at the castle was - in the Lotz play - a Somali fisherman who becomes a pirate.
In the 2015/16 season she moved to the Volkstheater. In the summer of 2017 and 2018 she played the role of Buhlschaft in Jedermann by Hugo von Hofmannsthal at the Salzburg Festival . For the 2017/18 season she moved from the Volkstheater to the Berliner Ensemble and played the maid Grusche Vachnadze in the premiere of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle on September 22, 2017 .
In July 2020, the WDR announced to the press that Reinsperger, as Chief Commissioner Rosa Herzog, would strengthen the investigative team of Faber and Bönisch at the Dortmund crime scene , replacing Aylin Tezel .
Quote
“If you have to compare your whole life, and we all do that, it only arouses negative thoughts and makes you sick. I have to know for myself what I want, what I want to work on. I was very lucky to meet people who encouraged me. The theater should get rid of all these guys. A first step is for women to play male roles, as in Wolfram Lotz's play. "
