Julia Graefner

Julia Graefner (born November 1, 1989 in Schwerin ) is a German actress .

Life

Julia Gräfner passed her Abitur in 2008 at the Goethe-Gymnasium Schwerin . During her school days she was a member of the theater group of the Goethe-Gymnasium TaGGS for many years . The school theater project "hamlet.net" in which Graefner appeared in the role of Gertrude was invited to the 2008 Theatertreffen der Jugend in Berlin. In addition, she was a permanent member of the reading stage Schmalz & Marmelade in Schwerin from 2006 to 2011 . From 2009 to 2015 she studied acting and performative arts at the Bern University of the Arts , with Gob Squad , Samuel Schwarz and Markus Imboden , among others . Graefner was a juror, editor and workshop leader of youth workshops at the Theatertreffen der Jugend der Berliner Festspiele. During her studies she worked as a freelance actress at the Konzert Theater Bern , the Lucerne Theater , the German National Theater Weimar and the Ballhaus Ost Berlin . She has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Graz since the 2015/16 season .

For her portrayal of Caliban in William Shakespeare's The Tempest , she received the Nestroy Theater Prize in the category of best youngsters in 2016 .
