Xaver Hutter

Xaver Hutter (born March 12, 1976 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Xaver Hutter is the son of the costume designer Birgit Hutter and the artist Wolfgang Hutter . Before becoming an actor, he studied architecture in his hometown . In 1996 he was selected by director Stefan Ruzowitzky for the lead role in the film Tempo . His performance was convincing, so that other directors became aware of him. For his portrayal in Michael Bindlechner's In Heaven , he won the Actor Award at the 1999 Max Ophüls Film Festival .

He achieved fame in Germany in 2000 with the horror film Flashback - Murderous Holidays and the comedic crime series Bronski und Bernstein . In 2006 he played the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the ARD production Mozart - I would have done Munich honor .

In addition to his work for film and television, he is also active in the theater. For his role in America at the Vienna Volkstheater he won the Nestroy Theater Prize in 2004 and the Karl Skraup Prize for best young actor.
