The End of the Song is a German television film by Hans Werner based on a script by Rolf-René Schneider from 2011 . It is the eighth episode of the crime film series Murder in the best company with Fritz Wepper as the psychiatrist Wendelin Winter in the lead role.

Psychiatrist Dr. Wendelin Winter takes over the vacation replacement in his practice for a friend at Tegernsee . He takes his daughter Alexandra with him. There is also a criminal case for Wendelin Winter at Tegernsee. This time Jessica Behringer, a very pushy fan of the famous pop singer Ronny König, was killed. The pop singer is now under suspicion of murder. Wendelin Winter believes in his innocence and is looking for other possible suspects who might have had a reason to kill Jessica Behringer.
