Fritz Wepper
Fritz Wepper (born August 17, 1941 in Munich ) is a German actor and older brother of Elmar Wepper .
Life
His father was the lawyer Friedrich Karl Wepper, who has been missing in Poland since the beginning of 1945 . At the age of eleven, Wepper played in children's programs on Bayerischer Rundfunk . He made his theater debut in 1952 in Peter Pan . At the age of 15, Wepper played as a child star in the fairy tale film Tischlein deck dich . He became known in the 1959 movie Die Brücke by Bernhard Wicki .
In 1964 he received the gold film for his role in Keyword: Heron (director: Rudolf Jugert ) as the best young actor . He celebrated great success as Harry Klein, first assistant to Commissioner Keller ( Erik Ode ) in the crime series Der Kommissar from 1969 to 1974 and then assistant, now with the rank of inspector, to Chief Inspector Derrick ( Horst Tappert ), starting with the episode Waldweg on October 20, 1974. The series consisted of 281 episodes and ran until 1998. In 1972, Wepper played in the Oscar- winning musical adaptation of Cabaret alongside Liza Minnelli , directed by Bob Fosse .
Fritz Wepper is the older brother of Elmar Wepper , with whom he also worked several times in films and television series, for example in the film Eine verrückte Familie (1957) and in the television series Der Kommissar (episode 71, 1974) and Zwei Brüder (from 1994) . Since 2002 he has played in the television series Um Himmels Willen , first together with Jutta Speidel (who left the series in 2007) and since 2007 with her successor Janina Hartwig . In 2004 he lent his voice to Harry Klein for the cartoon Derrick .
In 2003 Wepper was one of the founding members of the German Film Academy .
Private life
Since 1979 Fritz Wepper was married to Angela von Morgen, who was married to Ferfried Prinz von Hohenzollern for the first time from 1968 to 1973 . Angela von Morgen died of a cerebral haemorrhage on January 11, 2019 at the age of 76. Their daughter Sophie Wepper is also an actress.
From 2009 to 2012 Wepper lived with the 33 years younger camerawoman and director Susanne Kellermann , with whom he has had a child since 2011. In 2012 he returned to his wife. In 2013, the former relationship with Kellermann occupied the district court of Munich I , because Wepper felt offended by comments made by comedian Atze Schröder in his stage program .
Wepper obtained his hunting license in 1979 and has been a passionate hunter ever since . According to its own information, Wepper hunts all kinds of animals, for example chamois , deer , pheasant or wild boar . However , he refuses to hunt predatory game . Wepper has already hunted in many countries, including Austria , Sweden , Norway , Slovakia and Poland . During filming for the series " For heaven's sake ," which in Namibia took place Wepper went in his spare time together with a professional hunter to Impalajagd.
