Golden hen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Golden Henne has been a German audience and media prize that has been awarded annually since 1995 in memory of the entertainer Helga Hahnemann , who died in 1991 and was nicknamed "Henne".

figure

The trophy was 2015 a gilded, weighing 3.5 kg and 22 cm high, rennendes chicken from bronze , which was created by the Berlin artist Christian Bonnet. The more elegant bronze sculpture, new since 2016, was developed by the Berlin design studio Monomango. It weighs just under 3 kg and is 23 cm high. Its coarser, natural surface is deliberately not gold-plated in order to set the trophy apart from others.

Venues

The prize was awarded from 1995 to 2010 in the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin . From 2011 to 2013 the award ceremony took place in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz ; 2014, on the 25th anniversary of the peaceful revolution in Leipzig , outside Berlin in the New Leipzig Trade Fair . In 2015 the Berlin Velodrom was the venue, in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Leipzig again.

organizer

The organizers and producers are Superillu magazine , Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (since 2011, when it replaced Friedrichstadt-Palast, which had been a co-organizer until 2010), whose readers and viewers determine the winners.

Categories

People from the fields of politics , culture , sports and mass media are honored . In 2007 there was the “Newcomer of the Year” section for the first time, in which viewers only vote live by telephone on the evening of the show. The “television” category has also been divided into “entertainment” and “drama”.
