Lukas Rieger (born June 3, 1999 in Lehrte ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Rieger attended the music class at Burgdorf grammar school .

In 2014 he took part in the casting show The Voice Kids , where he was eliminated from the battles. He then continued his musical engagement and built up a larger fan base with YouTube , YouNow , Facebook , Twitter , Snapchat and Instagram .

In May 2018, his Instagram account had over 1.8 million subscribers and his user account in the Musical.ly app had over 3.2 million fans. His YouTube channel had over 511,000 subscribers and over 30 million views in August. At the same time, his Twitter presence already had over 126 thousand followers.

He has worked with "Take You" and "2U" two songs from Justin Bieber gecovert . He himself names the Canadian singer, as does Michael Jackson as role models.

An autograph session for the then 17-year-old in Ulm in October 2016, shortly after the release of his first album Compass , had to be broken off by the police because some fans fainted. Previously, a similar event in Stuttgart had attracted over 2000 mostly female fans. The management then announced that it would no longer hold such "Meet-and-Greets".

At the beginning of his career he intended to sing in English only .

In 2019 he took part in the 12th season of the RTL dance show Let's Dance . He was the third celebrity not to get enough viewer calls. Together with the professional dancer Katja Kalugina , he reached twelfth place.

From August 29, 2019, Lukas Rieger was in the movie Mein Lotta-Leben - Alles Bingo mit Flamingo! to be seen in the role of the singer "Marlon". The film is based on the successful children's book series Mein Lotta-Leben by Alice Pantermüller .
