The Global Poverty Project , also known under the trade name Global Citizen in German-speaking countries , is a New York-based, globally active NGO , which aims to implement demands based on the Millennium Development Goals with a cosmopolitan approach .

Global Citizen is mainly active in the areas of women's rights , health, education, development cooperation , hunger & food security , drinking water & hygiene, environmental protection and cosmopolitanism.
method
The supporters are asked to draw or send petitions , e-mails and tweets to decision-makers , often on certain occasions . In this way, the participants in the campaign at Global Citizen collect points, which can be redeemed for participation in raffles for tickets, for example for benefit concerts or festivals. Separate events such as the Global Citizen Festival are also held on the occasion of the G20 summit in Hamburg 2017 .
