Susanne Ptak (* 1964 in Düsseldorf ) is a German writer .

Career

Susanne Ptak became an author in 1994 when she ran a craft shop and published a total of 32 craft books under a pseudonym while running the business.

She has lived in East Frisia since 2003, where she founded the Logaerfeld sheep cheese dairy in 2010 . The regional thrillers also take place in their adopted home, East Frisia .

Susanne Ptak gained fame from 2014 by writing Ostfriesland crime novels. In the crime series "Ostfriesische Spinngruppe determined", 12 books were published between 2014 and 2018. The crime series “Dr. Josefine Brenner investigates ”, in which a retired forensic scientist works as an investigator, comprises 7 titles. In 2016 another crime series began, "Lena Smidt determined", with 2 titles.

The e-book edition of the Ostfriesland crime thriller “Mord in Ditzum” was ranked 6th in the e-book charts (survey period September 2017) in the fiction category at the 2017 Frankfurt Book Fair . According to the surveys by Media Control , the e-book edition of “Mord in Ditzum” was ranked third in the fiction category in calendar week 36 of 2017.
