Inka Bause , also ! Nka or INKA (born November 21, 1968 in Leipzig ) is a German pop singer , presenter and actress .

biography

Bause was born as the third daughter of Angret and Arndt Bause . Her father was one of the most successful hit and pop composers in the GDR . In the mid-1970s, the Bause couple and their daughters moved to East Berlin . As a first grader Inka was discovered by talent scouts from the Friedrichshain Music School , where she played the violin . After graduating in 1983, she became a member of the Stamitz Orchestra and took piano and singing lessons.

In a New Year's Eve program in 1984, Bause introduced himself to the television audience for the first time with Spielverderber . In 1985, 1986 and 1987 she received the young talent award of the GDR youth magazine new life , won top places in national title competitions and was the only female artist to receive the highest price, the silver bong, five times in a row in the TV hit parade Bong . In 1987 her first album INKA was released . In 1988, Bause began to build up a second mainstay as a presenter; together with her future husband Hendrik Bruch she regularly moderated the children's program Talentebude until 1991 . In addition to numerous appearances on radio and television, she toured the country with Super Pop '88 and the Dream Passengers Tour .

Bause graduated in 1989 with very good from her vocal studies at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin . Also in 1989 was her second album steps , from which she sang the title Aber Du in the ZDF hit parade in 1990 and was the first East German interpreter to take third place. At the German Schlager Festival in 1998 , Bause achieved fifth place with her title I want only you . In the same year she got the lead role in the MDR production Panik in der Blumenstadt . With the support of her manager Ingrid Reith, she not only received the Starclub program on Hessischer Rundfunk in 2000 , but also a recording contract with Jack White . Her title Florian from the album Be happy , which was released as a single in 2001, was described as a big comeback . With this, Bause was a guest in more than 20 television programs and the title was voted the 2001 summer hit by the radio station MDR 1 Radio Sachsen . In June 2003 she won the MDR hit summer night with My heart stays with you . On Christmas Eve , she presented music from Christmas land for the first time at ZDF .

At the beginning of 2004, Bause hosted Hüttenzauber together with Thomas Ohrner on ZDF. At the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005, it led through the last editions of the ZDF Sunday Concert . On the occasion of her 20th stage anniversary, Jörg Kachelmann presented a Long Saturday on MDR television . In 2005, Bause mainly worked as a presenter. In addition to programs on MDR and ZDF, she moderates the docu-soap Bauer sucht Frau on RTL , in which farmers are looking for a partner. In January 2006, the pilot program for the broker documentary Our new home ran , in which she helped property seekers to find a new apartment or a suitable home. The show went into series in the spring of 2006 and was broadcast weekly.

In September 2008 she presented the new edition of Die 100,000 Mark Show under the title Die 100,000 Euro Show on RTL. Together with Ross Antony , she also hosted the casting show Die singende Firma on RTL in 2008 , which looked for show talent in German companies. In January 2010, Bause was seen on the RTL reality show Die Farm , which was recorded in Norway in the summer of 2009 . From 2009 Bause was in a relationship with the politician Stefan Gebhardt . The couple separated in October 2011.

Since the beginning of April 2013 she has been a co-presenter at Die Frühlingsshow on ZDF. From September 2, 2013, she also hosted a talk format there called inka! which, according to press reports, did not meet the station's rating expectations and was canceled when it was last broadcast on November 8, 2013. In autumn 2015 she formed the jury for the 9th season of the RTL casting show Das Supertalent together with Dieter Bohlen and Bruce Darnell .

Social Commitment

  • Bause has been ambassador for the Children's Hospice in Central Germany since November 2005. She also donated the 25,000 euros she won on September 7, 2006 in the star quiz with Jörg Pilawa to this institution.
  • As sponsor, she has been supporting the SchokoFair project of the Montessori secondary school in Düsseldorf since 2012 , which has been committed to combating the exploitation of children in chocolate production since mid-2010.
  • Inka Bause is the patron of Irrsinnig Menschlich , an association to strengthen the mental health of adolescents and young adults.
  • She is also the godmother of the Palliative Care Center of the Vestische Children's and Youth Clinic in Datteln .
