Julius Maximilian Weckauf (born December 27, 2007 in Jüchen ) is a German child actor .

Life

Weckauf made his first appearance in front of the camera in the movie The Boy Needs Fresh Air , directed by Caroline Link , which was based on the autobiography of Hape Kerkeling , The Boy Needs Fresh Air - My Childhood and Me . He can be seen there in the lead role as Hape Kerkeling. His casting and the assumption of the role sparked wide media coverage.

On October 2nd, 2019, Weckauf presented the German Comedy Award in the category “Best Comedy Show” to Carolin Kebekus for her program PussyTerror TV . In the “Most Successful Cinema Comedy” category, he and part of the team from The Boy Must Go to Fresh Air accepted the prize himself.

Weckauf lives in Jüchen and attends a grammar school.
