German Comedy Award 2019

The presentation of the German Comedy Prize 2019 took place on October 2, 2019 as part of the International Cologne Comedy Festival in Cologne .

Laudators and guests led through the evening . For the first time, viewers were able to actively choose their favorites, the winner of the Best Comedian category was determined through a user voting from September 18, 2019 on RTL.de. The award ceremony was broadcast live on RTL for the second time . The prize was awarded in eleven categories.

The awards for the best innovation , the special price, the most successful live act and the best newcomer were given by the organizer, the Köln Comedy Festival GmbH , without prior nomination. The sole shareholder of this GmbH is the production company of the show, Brainpool (as of 2015). A jury of experts decided on the remaining award winners on the day of the award ceremony.
