German Comedy Award 2013

The 17th presentation of the German Comedy Prize 2013 took place on October 15, 2013 as part of the 23rd International Cologne Comedy Festival in Cologne . The German Comedy Award ceremony was moderated for the sixth time by Dieter Nuhr .

The recording of the award ceremony was to be broadcast on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 8:15 pm on the RTL television station. However, the broadcast was postponed to Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:15 p.m. On average, 2.55 million viewers saw the recording on RTL.

This year prizes were awarded in 14 categories. While the film category Best TV Comedy introduced in 2009 was removed, the personal category Best Moderation was reintroduced. It was last awarded in 2004.

The jury consists of Gerda Müller (Executive Producer, itv Studios Germany), Jens Bujar (Creative Director, UFA Show & Factual), Holger Hoffmann (Executive Producer, Prime Productions), David Anschütz (Author), Thomas Vass (Managing Director, Biller & Vass TV) and Oliver Gontram (Cologne Comedy Festival Director). This time the jury was chaired by the comedian Olaf Schubert , who replaced Thomas Hermanns .
