action

Two years have passed since Henry, Katharina, Tristan and Magdalena became a blended family. Everyday life has returned and yet chaos breaks out.

Henry begins a career as a film producer. In his first big film he has to work with the eccentric young actor Matthias Schweighöfer . Meanwhile, Katharina has become a mother and is struggling with her role as a housewife and mother for Baby Louis. In doing so, she reproaches Henry for not taking responsibility, so she looks for an apartment of her own to give them a second chance. Cuckoo's father Tristan, on the other hand, experiences his first midlife crisis: Charlotte left him to take a job abroad. Tristan therefore enjoys his new freedoms and soon has a new young friend Anna. He also moves in with Henry after Katharina's departure. The two men are completely overwhelmed with the situation of taking responsibility for their common cuckoo child Magdalena and the baby. Therefore, they hire an attractive nanny who will also move in with them. This threatens the patchwork experiment to fail.

Meanwhile, Magdalena falls in love with a boy for the first time.

Reviews

This section consists only of a cunning collection of quotes from movie reviews. Instead, a summary of the reception of the film should be provided as continuous text, which can also include striking quotations, see also the explanations in the film format .

“A modern blended family and their worries that are light years away from the average person. "Kokowääh 2" tells about it with the usual Til Schweiger ingredients. Somehow it's always summer in his films, the light falls golden, the people are relaxed. His family is hip, they don't say sneakers, but chucks, and wear cool hats even in the heat. A carpet of current music intensifies emotions, the chic rooms in which the beautiful people stay are perfectly illuminated. Problems are discussed in a civilized manner over a macchiato in the café, young mothers are spindly, perfectly made up and well rested. Pap stains on the trendy T-shirt look like a fun accessory. You wouldn't blame an American high-gloss film for any of that - that's why I'm not doing it with Til Schweiger. His comedies regularly attract millions of viewers to the cinemas, [...] set records, make people happy - regardless of whether critics write that the story was predictable and the actors were not at the peak of their art. Til Schweiger always manages to pack German dreams into what is only an apparent problem. Pretty nice to pack. Everyone would like to have such a beautiful loft, this cute daughter with white teeth and would like to celebrate topless at a movie party with guests. Schweiger's daughter Emma is still cute even at the age of ten, such a brat is forgiven for mumbling and grimacing. "

"The Same Procedure As Last Time?" "The Same Procedure As Every Time ..." If you take "Kokowääh 2" as an independent film and ignore "Kokowääh 1", "Keinohrhasen" and "Zweiohrküken", then you could probably say: "What a sweet, harmless one , nice, German comedy. " The other three films existed before - and that becomes a problem for "Kokowääh 2". Again Til Schweiger in one of his own films as a haphazard, but of course extremely good-looking, lovable chaot. Again (for the fourth time !!) his daughter Emma in the "childlike leading role" of the film. The main female characters [...] are pretty women, with great intellect and independence, but who can't really resist him (Til), no matter how stupid he is. The stories are then always combinations of these character components: The chaos is about to gamble away the greatest woman in the world. The child is cheeky, cute and witty. Chaot brings everything to collapse, accompanied by everyday gags like burned food or babies peeing on you on the changing table. And in the end he has to remorsefully repair the broken pieces until everyone smiles at the end of the picture. The camera work is always "personal", always close to the characters, the set facilities look like a mixture of a Swedish furniture store and intentionally cool industrial modernity. The colors are always pastel tones. Sunbeams shine dreamily through industrial glass panes - and when Til is sailing around somewhere with a boat, of course he wears a straw hat and looks like Huckleberry Finn in the soft light of the sunset. Such films can be made, no question about it, there is certainly an audience for them. Yet! Because at the latest with "Drei-Nasen-Katzen" or "Kokowääh 3, 4 or 5", an increasing number of moviegoers will notice that the bottom line is that the same warmed up meal is served over and over again with a different set of dishes. And then the step into boredom is made. Handwriting yes, but in the case of Til Schweiger it is time again for a new topic, a new role for himself and for actors around him who we have not seen in every of his last comedies. "

- Tom Westerholt - 1 Live

"Peeing babies, men in midlife crisis, girls in love, jealousy and raising children - that is the mixture of jokes in" Kokowääh 2 "that the main actor, screenwriter and director Til Schweiger uses to continue his hit film. For some this humor may take getting used to, for Schweiger it is not, it seems. The success proves him right. [...] Til Schweiger's film recipe is simple and it has worked wonderfully since his comedy "Keinohrhasen". The main ingredient is himself, because Schweiger and his fans like it when the future crime scene inspector portrays himself in his favorite role as a vulnerable macho. Besides that, all you need is a mass-compatible joke and a few of your numerous friends in supporting roles. [...] "Kokowääh2" fulfills all expectations and fears that one can have in a Til Schweiger film. He delivers relationship problems and parenting tips with a happy ending, in which everyone involved dance in slow motion to sweet music on the Berlin Wannsee. Til Schweiger never tires of emphasizing that his films are not contenders for prizes and have lost little or nothing at festivals. Schweiger's focus is on the mass, not the class. So the best conditions for "Kokowääh 2" to be a success too. But that doesn't make it an outstanding film. "

- Marius Zekri - NDR

“Til Schweiger can do everything - except be brief. Like the predecessor "Kokowääh", the sequel lasts over two hours. In some scenes you might ask yourself: what for? [...] But that is whining on a high level. In fact, "Kokowääh 2" is never boring for a second and once again proof that Schweiger can tell stories like no other that have a heart and a sense of humor. So if you are looking for a completely enjoyable diversion for two hours, as a couple or with the whole family, then this film is the right place for you.

“'Kokowääh 2' was like warm rosé. Colorless, tepid, does not tingle and causes headaches. […] There is a quote from 'Bang Boom Bang' that fits Henry alias Schweiger: '90 minutes! Just me! I am the horniest!'. Some more statistics: there are also stolen quotes [...] and lots of editing errors. "
