Anna-Katharina Samsel (born April 12, 1985 in Hanover ) is a German actress and former figure skater and roller skater .

life and career

Samsel grew up in Wolfsburg and went to school there. She started figure skating as an athlete as a child . At the age of nine, figure skating was added as a further sport. In both sports she achieved several successes at championships. She was North German figure skating champion three times. In figure skating she was world champion in formation skating with the Dream Team in 1999, 2000 and 2002. In 1999 she was also German champion in single and pair skating.

Samsel did her Abitur at the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Wolfsburg. She completed an acting training at the Filmacting School in Cologne , which she graduated with an acting diploma in 2007. Furthermore, Samsel had had private acting lessons since 2008. She also attended several workshops , some of them international, in the fields of film technology , screenwriting , directing and dubbing .

In 2006 Samsel played the role of Claudia in a theater production at the Film Acting School Cologne in the play The Sweetest Fruits , directed by Matthias Freihof . In 2007 she had a role in the film My Mother's Tears . She was also seen in the 2007 short film Epicalyse Now by Daryush Shokof . In 2008 she starred in the music video for the song Lost by the British band Coldplay . In December 2009, Samsel took over the role of Katja Bergmann in RTL - Daily-Soap Alles Waswas , which she played until 2015. In her role she embodied a figure skater who dreams of a world career. Samsel also worked in several other short and diploma films.

In 2011 Anna Samsel received the German Soap Award in the category “Best Actress Daily Soap” for her role in Everything that counts .

In addition to acting, Anna-Katharina Samsel also works as a model . She lives in Cologne and was in a relationship with football player Hans Sarpei for six years until June 2010 .
