Hall of Fame is a song of the Irish pop-rock - group The Script and the American rapper will.i.am . The song is the first single from The Script's third studio album # 3. The song was first broadcast on UK radio on July 23, 2012 .

The piano theme shows clear parallels to the composition River Flows in You by the South Korean pianist Yiruma .

background

The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue first met will.i.am while serving as a judge at The Voice UK . There O'Donoghue played will.i. some demo recordings on the backstage , including the song Hall of Fame . will.i.am immediately wanted the song for his new album, but O'Donoghue did not want to give up the lead single of the new album. Nevertheless, he asked will.i.am if it is not considered Featuring wants to participate in the song. He immediately accepted. However, he needed several attempts to produce the song because will.i.am was often unable to attend. The song was recorded in just under an hour and a half in a Dublin recording studio . Will.i.am then asked O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan to produce the song themselves.

The song is a classic duet . With the song the band wants to show that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself and never give up.

At the end of October 2012, the band announced that Hall of Fame would be the title song for the German comedy Kokowääh 2 by Til Schweiger , which was released in German cinemas on February 7, 2013 .
