NGC 4754 is a Lenticular Galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 58 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter. Under the catalog name VCC 2092 , it is considered a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster . Together with NGC 4762 , it forms the galaxy pair Holm 478 or KPG 356 .

The object was discovered on March 15, 1784 by William Herschel .
