Volker Bajus (born January 5, 1964 in Bremerhaven ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 2013 to 2017 he was an elected member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . Since March 25, 2020, Bajus has again been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament as a replacement for Anja Piel, who was elected to the DGB federal executive committee .

biography

Volker Bajus grew up in Bad Bederkesa and, after attending school, studied sociology in Hamburg and Osnabrück from 1984, graduating as a social economist in 1991. From 1992 onwards, he worked as a planner and expert in the leisure, tourism and environmental sectors. Since 1996 he has been working in various positions for the developmental children's aid organization terre des hommes .

politics

Bajus joined the Alliance 90 / The Greens party in 1993 . Since 1996 he has been a member of the Osnabrück City Council for his party . In the state election in Lower Saxony in 2013 , he won a mandate in the Lower Saxony state parliament via the state list. After the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2017 , he initially resigned from the state parliament, but replaced Anja Piel in parliament in March 2020 .
