NGC 4751 is a 11.2 mag bright galaxy of the Hubble type E – S0 in the constellation Centaur , which is about 86 million light years away from the Milky Way.

It was discovered on March 15, 1836 by John Herschel with an 18-inch reflecting telescope, which it marked with “B, R; first vg, then vsbM, 50 arcseconds ”.
