NGC 4757 is a 14.1 mag bright, lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Virgo at the ecliptic .
The galaxies NGC 4742 , NGC 4760 , NGC 4766 , NGC 4781 are in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered in 1882 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel .
