NGC 4763 is a 12.6 likes bright barred spiral galaxy of Hubble type SBa in the constellation Raven . It is estimated to be 175 million light years from the Milky Way .
It was discovered on December 31, 1785 by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope, who described it as "vF, S, lbM".
