NGC 4787 is a 14.6 likes bright lenticular galaxy of Hubble type S0-a in the constellation Coma Berenices . It is an estimated 339 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 110,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 4789 .
The object was discovered on April 3, 1867 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
