NGC 4793 is a bar-spiral galaxy with a high rate of star formation of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is an estimated 112 million light-years away from the Milky Way , has a diameter of about 95,000 ly, and is a member of the Coma galaxy cluster Abell 1656 .
The galaxies NGC 4735 , NGC 4738 , NGC 4841 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on April 11, 1785 by Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel .
