NGC 4803 is a 14.4 mag bright, compact dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type "E / C" (the C stands for compact ) in the constellation Virgo at the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 116 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 15,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4791 , NGC 4795 , NGC 4796 , among others .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 25, 1865 .
